Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 vs. Pro 3: Which One? (2024)

saucony endorphin speed vs pro

Saucony has designed its Endorphin series to meet all the needs of runners, with two or three models depending on your practice and objectives.

In the case of Endorphin Pro 3 and Speed 3, the technologies are almost the same, and the configurations (heel-to-toe drop of and weight) are very similar.

There’s carbon rubber on the outsole, PWRRUN PB midsole foam, an 8 mm, heel-to-toe drop, and maximal cushioning with 36 mm heel stack height for the Speed and 39.5 mm for the Pro.

The critical difference is the type of propulsion plate in the midsole: carbon fiber for the Pro and nylon for the Speed.

The result? The propulsion of the Pro is more explosive and shines in competition. Clearly, it’s a shoe to go fast and crush your Personal Bests. On the other hand, the Speed’s nylon plate is semi-flexible, giving the shoe a softer cushioning. Therefore, it makes it more versatile, although the result may not be as impressive as the Pro.

Endorphin Speed or Pro: Which One Is Better?

The answer depends on your preferences and goals.

Are you looking for a racing shoe to give it all and don’t mind a firm cushioning underfoot? Choose the Pro.

Do you prefer a versatile shoe that can be suitable both as a daily trainer and a racer? The Speed it is!

  1. Are you telling me that I may as well buy the speeds instead of the pros and will get the same results speedwise?
